Tanja is an expert in strategic business development and commercial feasibility evaluation of science based innovations. Before joining Innomedica Tanja was an entrepreneur at BioSolutions INT, a company specialised in market research for life sciences. Tanja has also worked as a market analyst for several companies in USA and Canada. Tanja has a MSc degree in Applied Microbiology and Bioprocess Engineering from the Aalto University.


Johanna Furuhjelm
Partner, Manager, Market Intelligence



Johanna is an expert in market research and a certified EU project manager. Johanna has a PhD in Genetics and Biosciences with emphasis on cellular and molecular biology. Before joining Innomedica Johanna worked as a Post Doctoral Scientist in cancer research at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki and conducted her PhD work at the Institute of Biotechnology. Johanna is currently on maternity leave.

Yoritsugu Noro
Senior Advisor, Japan




Mr Noro has extensive experience at a senior level in the Japanese Pharma Industry. Formerly he was engaged in a senior position at Taisho Pharmaceuticals, one of the major Japanese pharma with both Rx and OTC products. Mr Noro has more than 40 years of history with international sales, business development and licensing.


Jim Phillips
Senior Advisor, UK, France




Jim has extensive experience in business development in pharmaceuticals and in developing early stage ventures. He is a qualified physician with an MBA from Cass Business School.
Formerly Jim worked for Johnson & Johnson and Novartis in senior executive roles, and he was the founder & CEO of Talisker Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He also took Bone Medical Ltd through its oversubscribed IPO in 2004 and has held a number of other international board level roles.

Anna Kalmi
Senior Partner, Vice President, Japan Licensing



Anna is an expert in international strategic licensing and business development. Anna is a native Japanese with Japanese basic education. She has deep understanding of Japanese business culture and market environment for innovative life science products and technologies. Prior to current position, she worked with product concept development at Nokia. Anna has a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Turku, Finland.



Matti Juvonen
Manager, Business Development



Matti is specialized in sales, distribution and business development in IVD diagnostic and laboratory equipment fields. Previously he worked in managerial sales positions at Medix Biochemica and Thermo Labsystems (nowadays Thermo Fisher Scientific). Matti has a Master´s degree in Economics from the Aalto University.


Solveig Sjöblom
Manager, Service Development




Solveig is an expert in EU projects and has extensive experience in project management. Solveig has a PhD in Genetics and Biosciences with emphasis on microbiology and molecular biology. Before joining Innomedica she worked as a Scientist in plant microbial genetics at the University of Helsinki.


Mirva Tamppinen
Office Manager, Marketing Assistant



Mirva is responsible for marketing operations, event coordination and supporting management in administration. Prior to joining Innomedica Mirva worked at the Finnish Fair Corporation and at Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. She has a degree in Corporate Communication (MTi) and is finalizing her Bachelor degree studies of Business Administration.
